It is with profound sadness that we must inform you that the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has chosen not to award us the tender for the Red Hill Recreation Reserve. After 49 years of serving this community, this decision brings us immense heartache.

We understand the deep connection many of you have with the market—this place has been more than just a marketplace; it has been a vibrant community hub where friendships have blossomed, and local businesses have thrived. The thought of no longer being able to bring this cherished event to life at the Reserve is truly painful. We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we’ve received.

The heartfelt letters from stallholders, patrons, and local businesses have been a source of strength during this difficult time. Your loyalty and dedication mean the world to us. As a team, we will be taking time to process this news, but please rest assured that our commitment to our stallholders, patrons, and community remains unwavering.

We are now actively searching for a new home for the Red Hill Community Market and will keep you updated on our progress. Our mission to preserve the values and spirit that make this market so special is stronger than ever.
