Judy Craig of Becreatif and Mary Ann Drysdale of Freshfield Alpacas have been working together for over 10 years running Felting Workshops and Spinning Classes at Freshfield Alpacas at 895 Frankston-Flinders Road, Somerville.  We make individual handmade wearable art garments from natural fibres.

We started off doing a felting demonstration at our Open Farm Weekend approx 10 years ago in the garage and it has snowballed from there.  We now run the classes in our lovely purpose built workroom with a Shop selling "All Things Alpaca".   At the workshops you learn to felt an item eg. Hat, bag, scarf or slippers and you go home with the finished item.  We can teach you to spin and also dye alpaca fibre.

In the shop we sell jumpers, scarves, throws, blankets, soft toys, alpaca yarns - natural colours and dyed and also tops/rovings and fleeces for the hand spinners and weavers.   We have a large range of one off wearable art garments on display.

We sell alpacas of course and provide you with a back up service eg.  Organise the shearer, nails and general advice and information.  We encourage you to call in and visit our farm and learn more about these beautiful animals.  We have Open Farm Days. Call 5977 9334
