Getting there:
The Macedon Ranges is less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne along the Calder Freeway, and only half that time from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport. The Rock is easily accessed from the A79 Calder Freeway which passes by on the eastern side of Woodend or via Mt Macedon or from the M31 Hume Highway by turning off at Kilmore and travelling through Lancefield, or alternatively from Wallan via Romsey.

Entry Fee:
On these special market days, visitors enjoy half price entry into Hanging Rock @ $5 per car (normally $10).
There's ample parking, great public amentities and easy walking access into the market area and the Rock itself.
Reasonable entry fees are applicable as the Reserve receives no state or local government operational funding. 100% of all income received at the Reserve is used for its continued maintenance, development and care.

About the Macedon Ranges:
Visitors to the market are sure to be taken by the natural beauty of the Macedon Ranges Regional Park and Hanging Rock.

Right on Melbourne’s doorstep, the Macedon Ranges is a picturesque region of fertile river valleys, rolling hills and tree-clad ranges. From Gisborne to Kyneton, each town is a thriving community buzzing with its own artistic, historic and culinary energy.

Rolling farmland and bluestone cobblestones, contemporary art and rural charms, dramatic landscapes that change with the seasons, world class events and out-of-the-way hiding places combine to make the Macedon Ranges region an exceptional part of Victoria, just a short drive from Melbourne and other major towns in the state.
